Hunter Valley Care is a family owned and operated Australian company, providing aged care services to our local community since 1981.
Our goal is to enhance people’s lives by providing excellence in aged care. We do this by employing expert people who are passionate about providing customised care services that celebrate individuality, support independence and encourage socialisation.
We currently operate three Residential Aged Care facilities located around Newcastle and Lake Macquarie.
We provide individualised aged care services in low care and high care Residential Aged Care, including hotel-type Extra Services to enhance our residents’ lifestyles.
We value and support the principle of ageing in place, providing people with the benefits of being able to remain in a familiar environment as their care needs progress. Our compassionate staff also specialise in Respite Care and Palliative Care.
Hunter Valley Care’s management structure includes an experienced Management Committee and dedicated long-standing employees experienced in the management and administration of Residential Aged Care services. Our Management Committee meets weekly to address quality control issues to ensure our aged care services remain effective and sustainable. We pride ourselves on being adaptable to meet the changing needs of our community.
All Aged Care facilities must meet accreditation standards set by the Department of Health and Ageing. Hunter Valley Care has an impeccable record in maintaining regulatory compliance. All our facilities have received continual accreditation that ensures we have a quality program of care.

As a highly respected industry leader with over 35 years expertise in aged care, our staff are exclusively concerned with providing the highest quality services, meeting the challenges of a multicultural modern society and redefining aged care as we know it.
We have a passionate team of management and administration staff, registered nurses and assistants in nursing, general service officers, lifestyle personnel and a diverse range of support staff. This comprehensive framework of almost 400 employees throughout our facilities share one common passion: ensuring quality in aged care is effectively and efficiently given.
Hunter Valley Care staff members have access to unique partnerships with the University of Newcastle and other Registered Training Organisations, providing student placement opportunities as well as accredited in-house nursing training and continuous upskilling for current staff.
